GC Cell(144510) is bringing in an executive who led global business development strategy at Lotte Biologics to strengthen its capabilities in global partnerships and new business development.
GC Cell said on the 10th that it has newly hired Son Ju-hee, former head of BD strategy at Lotte Biologics, as head of business development to bolster its business development institutional sector.
Deputy Minister Son graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Chungbuk National University and earned a master's degree in internal medicine at the same university's College of Medicine. After that, Son built experience across the bio business by handling research and development strategy, business development, investment review, and portfolio management at Dong-A Pharmaceutical Co., Dong-A Socio Holdings, and Dong-A ST.
In particular, Son carried out research and development strategy formulation, global development project management, new business development, and investment strategy formulation, gaining wide-ranging experience from early discovery of businesses to investment and development strategy planning.
Most recently, Son served as head of the investment strategy team in the management innovation office at Lotte Corporation and as head of BD strategy in the global BD institutional sector at Lotte Biologics. Son handled investment strategies in the bio field, global business development strategy formulation, sales strategy, and global partnership management.
GC Cell plans to use this hire to strengthen its existing business development capabilities while accelerating the expansion of global partnerships and the search for new business opportunities.
