According to Celltrion on the 5th, Seo will depart for Paris, France, on the 10th. Seo plans to review pharmacy sales at a local subsidiary near Paris. Earlier, in May, Celltrion acquired the French corporations Giphar, securing a pharmacy sales network beyond hospitals.
Seo is said to have given up a summer vacation for the overseas business trip. Seo plans to review market conditions and product supply schedules in Europe, North America, and Japan. Celltrion is pursuing a strategy of placing local subsidiaries in major overseas countries and selling pharmaceuticals directly.
Celltrion posted 2.5387 trillion won in consolidated revenue and 773.7 billion won in operating profit in the first half of this year. They rose 41% and 97%, respectively, from the same period last year. A Celltrion official said, "We will sustain growth by managing the progress by country in the second half."
