Neurophet(380550) said on the 21st that the brain imaging analysis solution "Neurophet AQUA AD Plus," which supports prescriptions for Alzheimer's disease treatments, was designated as a first-half 2026 innovative product by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
The innovative product designation system supports the early market entry of small and mid-sized companies' products that have been recognized for public interest and technological innovation based on government research and development (R&D) outcomes, and helps expand sales channels by linking them to public procurement. Once designated as an innovative product, a company can enter into private contracts with public institutions for up to six years and receive public procurement-related support, including the innovative product purchase target system.
Neurophet AQUA AD Plus is brain imaging analysis software that quantitatively analyzes magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography (PET) images to support pre-treatment prescription eligibility assessment for Alzheimer's disease therapies, adverse event monitoring during treatment, and post-treatment efficacy analysis. Its feature is supporting image-based clinical decision-making throughout the entire course of treatment.
With this innovative product designation, Neurophet has expanded its foundation for entering the public procurement market, including central government ministries, local governments, and public medical institutions. The company noted that, because there are many cases where products are used for extended periods in public healthcare and national health screening, it expects this designation to lead to expanded public healthcare projects and a stable revenue base.
