JETEMA said on the 6th that it has hired former Manyo Factory CEO Yoo Geun-jik as vice chairman overseeing the derma cosmetics institutional sector and will strengthen its K-beauty business.
Vice Chairman Yoo Geun-jik is a leading professional manager in the cosmetics industry who led the successful listings of It's Skin and Manyo Factory, and has capabilities in brand scale-up (expansion) and global distribution growth. Yoo will oversee the entire derma cosmetics business, from product planning to domestic and overseas distribution and global brand strategy.
JETEMA plans to nurture derma cosmetics as a core growth axis by combining aesthetics capabilities centered on research and development (R&D) with sales and marketing expertise through this appointment.
The company's strategy is to build a "well-aging" portfolio that spans medical aesthetics and cosmetics by expanding its cosmetics business into global markets along with broadening its bio pipeline, including glucagon-like peptide (GLP)-1 obesity treatments.
