Hanmi Science said on the 5th it launched a new product, "Pro-Calm EGF Urea Keraton Cream," which contains urea, a moisturizing and exfoliation-care ingredient, and epidermal growth factor (EGF), used for skin condition care.
The product expands the lineup of Pro-Calm's flagship item, "EGF Active Vital Cream." Unlike the previous face-centered product, it can be used on body areas such as heels, elbows, and knees.
Pro-Calm EGF Urea Keraton Cream contains 10% urea, as well as EGF, vitamin C ester, and LHA. It helps manage skin texture in areas where dead skin cells easily build up and can aid in improving the skin environment.
Urea is known as an ingredient that helps retain moisture in the stratum corneum and improve the environment for desquamation. EGF is an ingredient used for managing skin condition. In addition, vitamin C ester, a fat-soluble vitamin C derivative, was added to consider tone care for areas concerned about hyperpigmentation. LHA was also applied to reduce skin irritation.
The product also applies Hanmi Science's patented formula technology, "Skin Fill-U." Using an ultra-fine nano-particle formulation averaging 42.8 nanometers (nm), it was designed so that active ingredients can adhere to and be absorbed by the skin evenly.
Efficacy and safety were also verified. In a human application test, it not only improved thickened calluses on heels but also completed low-irritation testing and tests on sensitive skin.
A Hanmi Science official said, "This new product is a multi-care cream developed to manage exfoliation care, skin texture improvement, and care for hyperpigmented areas with a single product," adding, "It will propose a new body care solution to consumers as a product that can be used on areas such as heels, elbows, and knees, which are increasingly exposed in summer."
