Hanmi Group carried out its first regular executive appointments for the second half since launching the professional management system. Six executives who delivered results in key growth areas such as anti-obesity and metabolic disease drug development, global technology exports, research and development (R&D), and medical devices were promoted.
Hanmi Group said on the 2nd that a total of six people were promoted, including three at holding company Hanmi Science and three at operating company Hanmi Pharmaceutical.
For Hanmi Pharmaceutical, this is the first executive reshuffle under CEO Hwang Sang-yeon, who took office early this year. The company said Hwang's management approach, which aims to strengthen business competitiveness by focusing on future growth and innovation, was reflected.
At Hanmi Pharmaceutical, Executive Director Kim Na-young of the Innovation Growth Division and Executive Director Choi In-young of the Future Growth Division were each promoted to vice president. Choi Jae-hyeok, a director on the Obesity and Metabolism Team at the Obesity and Metabolism Center within the Future Growth Division, was newly appointed.
Vice President Kim Na-young played a key role in systematizing the commercialization strategy for Hanmi Pharmaceutical's H.O.P (Hanmi Obesity Pipeline) project, the company's growth strategy for obesity and metabolic diseases, and in building the foundation for market entry.
Vice President Choi In-young and Managing Director Maeng Ji-woong led next-generation innovative new drug research and development and global business development (BD), contributing to strengthened research and development competitiveness. They recently spearheaded a large-scale technology export deal with a global pharmaceutical company and helped demonstrate in the global market the competitiveness of Hanmi Pharmaceutical's long-acting platform technology "LAPSCOVERY."
Director Choi Jae-hyeok has overseen research and development of the obesity and metabolic disease pipeline at the Obesity and Metabolism Center within the Future Growth Division and has participated in developing key pipelines, including the H.O.P project.
At Hanmi Science, Shin Jun-seop, a senior managing director in the Medical Devices Headquarters of the Healthcare Business Division, was promoted to executive managing director; Maeng Ji-woong, an associate managing director on the L&D Strategy Team of the Innovation Headquarters, was promoted to managing director; and Lee Jun-won, a director on the Medical Device Planning Team in the Medical Devices Headquarters of the Healthcare Business Division, was promoted to associate managing director.
Executive Managing Director Shin Jun-seop contributed to diversifying the business portfolio and strengthening organizational competitiveness by expanding the medical device business. Associate Managing Director Lee Jun-won was recognized for leading the Medical Device Planning Team and delivering results in new business planning, product strategy, and improving business operations efficiency.
