Celltrion said on the 25th that it introduced next-generation anticancer technology at Bio USA (International Convention). The event, held in San Diego, California, was themed "Innovation driven by mission." About 20,000 pharmaceutical and biotech officials from around the world gather to discuss technology transfer and investment.
Celltrion has participated in Bio USA for 17 consecutive years since 2010. More than 2,000 visitors were tallied at the Celltrion booth this time. Celltrion held more than 180 meetings with overseas corporations.
Celltrion introduced antibody-drug conjugates (ADC) and multi-antibody new drugs and sought cooperation opportunities. ADCs attach drugs to antibodies to precisely destroy cancer cells and are called "guided missiles that catch cancer cells." It also showcased artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
A Celltrion official said, "It was an event where interest in next-generation growth engines went beyond existing biosimilars (biosimilar)," adding, "We will expand opportunities for global partnerships."
