Kolon TissueGene said on the 25th that it will take part in Bio USA in San Diego, California. More than 20,000 pharmaceutical and biotech officials and life science researchers from around the world gather there to discuss technology transfer and investment.
The company has finished dosing patients in phase 3 clinical trials in the United States for Invossa (TG-C), an osteoarthritis treatment, and is conducting follow-up. As early as next month, it plans to announce key results and, if there are no particular issues, apply to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for approval.
Kolon TissueGene plans to seek partnerships with overseas drugmakers. It will review the Invossa data that the industry has been anticipating and proceed with discussions on technology transfer, marketing and sales. The company also plans to attend the osteoarthritis-related society meeting (IWOAI) in Munich, Germany.
Jeon Seung-ho, Kolon TissueGene's CEO, said, "This year is an important inflection point ahead of the clinical data announcement and the approval application," and added, "We will continue to pursue partnerships with major pharmaceutical companies for commercialization."
