Hugel said on the 19th that it held a symposium on the botulinum toxin "Letibot (domestic product name: Botulax)" in Chengdu, China.
The "Letibot regional symposium and hands-on training" was organized as part of an academic program touring six cities across China. Following the first event held in Beijing in Apr., this was the second regional symposium. Chengdu is considered one of the key hubs of China's aesthetic medical industry.
At the symposium, aesthetic medical experts from Korea and China took the stage as speakers to share their experiences with botulinum toxin procedures and clinical know-how. O Uk, director of Meirin Clinic The Hyundai branch and Korea's lead speaker, introduced various procedure cases and know-how using botulinum toxin.
From China, Wang Hang, chief professor at West China Stomatological Hospital affiliated with Sichuan University, presented procedure strategies and management plans from local clinical settings. Next, plastic surgeon Lei Jiaqi introduced a facial combination therapy using botulinum toxin.
About 100 local Chinese medical professionals attended the event and received information on Letibot's clinical data, safety, and precision technique.
In particular, key figures from both companies, including Executive Vice President Ji Seung-uk of Hugel and Zhou Xianfeng, CEO of Sihuan Meiyen, a subsidiary of Chinese partner Sihuan Pharmaceutical, attended, adding significance to the academic exchange.
Hugel, in cooperation with Sihuan Pharmaceutical, is expanding sales of Letibot in the Chinese market while running regular academic education and training programs for local medical staff. The company said it is contributing to improving the professionalism of the local aesthetic medical industry by disseminating standardized procedure guidelines.
Letibot currently holds a market share of more than 20% in China, backed by a wide distribution network and stable supply capacity.
Executive Vice President Ji Seung-uk said, "We hope this academic symposium will serve as a catalyst to promote mutual development and exchange in the aesthetic medical industries of both countries," adding, "We will continue to solidify our status as the leading K-toxin company through local academic activities and expand the influence of the Hugel brand."
