Ildong Pharmaceutical Chairman Yun Ung-seop said at the 85th anniversary ceremony that the company must strengthen execution to survive and leap forward amid changes in the pharmaceutical industry.
Ildong Pharmaceutical Group held its 85th anniversary ceremony on the 6th at Ildong Pharmaceutical's headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul, with executives and employees from affiliates including Ildong Holdoings and Ildong Pharmaceutical in attendance.
Attendees reflected on the founding philosophy of the late Chairman Yun Yong-gu, who said "the basis of all medicines is people," and shared the group's growth process and future direction.
In his commemorative remarks, Ildong Pharmaceutical Chairman Yun Ung-seop expressed his gratitude, saying, "The small company that began with the sincerity of making good medicine for people was able to grow into Ildong Pharmaceutical Group today thanks to the efforts of executives and employees who have carried on the founding spirit."
Yun added, "As the pharmaceutical industry faces major changes and challenges, we stand at a critical juncture where we must achieve a new leap beyond mere survival," emphasizing that "we need rigorous deliberation on what to keep and what to change, and strong execution."
In particular, Yun said, "Communication, empathy, and execution are not simple slogans but core values that must be put into practice," adding, "We must create new growth opportunities amid change based on meticulous preparation and strong execution."
Yun also said, "Eighty-five years of history is not just for commemoration but a responsibility and mission toward the future," and appealed, "As the rising sun in the east brightens the world, please join forces so that the value Ildong Pharmaceutical Group creates becomes the driving force that brightens people's tomorrow."
That day, an awards ceremony was held for long-serving employees and contributors, followed by a celebratory performance by the developmental disabilities ensemble "Heart Brass Ensemble." In line with its management philosophy of "respect for humanity," Ildong Pharmaceutical is also expanding its social responsibility activities, including participating in the establishment of the standard workplace for people with disabilities "HeartHeart Art & Culture" to support the independence and social participation of people with developmental disabilities.
