Choi Kang Chang-min (birth name Shim Chang-min) of the group TVXQ! under SM Entertainment marked Children's Day with a warm act of sharing for pediatric patients.
Samsung Medical Center said on the 5th that Choi Kang Chang-min donated 55 million won to the pediatric and adolescent patient happiness fund.
The donation will be used to ease the medical expenses of child and adolescent patients whose treatment is restricted by financial hardship and to support them so they can focus on treatment and rehabilitation.
Choi said, "I wanted to be a small source of strength for children who are spending a tough time in hospital rooms even on Children's Day," and added, "I hope the children regain their bright, healthy smiles and freely pursue their dreams."
This is not his first donation. On Christmas last year, he also delivered a 50 million won donation to the same hospital, and as a member of the Green Noble Club, a high-value donor group at ChildFund Korea, he continues various sharing activities for vulnerable groups.
