Huons Group said on the 28th it is operating a "café staffed by baristas with disabilities" at its Jecheon plant in North Chungcheong. Huons covers the café's rent and maintenance fees. The company said it is working with the social welfare foundation Daha to help people with disabilities achieve economic independence.
Huons Group donated 300 million won in Mar. last year to help restore areas in South Gyeongsang and North Gyeongsang damaged by wildfires. In Jun. last year, it delivered 300 million won worth of medicines to the Sunbogeum Gangnam Church. The medicines are expected to be used to ease medical blind spots overseas.

Huons Meditech conducts medical volunteer work as part of its medical device business. It supplied extracorporeal shock wave lithotripters to parts of Africa and provided procedure and equipment training to local medical staff.
Huons Global, Huons, and Humedix joined the Gyeonggi fruit of love "Sharing Honor corporations." It is an association of corporations that have donated at least 100 million won. Each year at the end of the year, Huons holds kimchi-making volunteer events in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, to help provide meals for older adults in vulnerable groups.
Humedix delivered daily necessities to Yegawon, a residential facility in Seongnam for people with intellectual disabilities. It signed agreements with the Jecheon Disability Welfare Center and the Senior Welfare Center and provides 1 million won in regular monthly support. At the end of last year, it provided blankets and other winter items to vulnerable groups.
Huons Group received an A rating for the second consecutive year in the ESG (environment, social, governance) assessment conducted by the Korea ESG Standards Institute. A company official said, "We are delivering warmth where various members of society need it, including through medicine support."
