Seers Technology will change its name to "Seers." The name change is scheduled to be finalized on the 27th pending approval at the regular shareholders meeting.
The company said on the 25th that it will submit an agenda item to change its name at the 17th regular shareholders meeting. It is the first brand overhaul in about 17 years since its founding in 2009.
The new name carries the meaning of "forerunner." The company said it reflects its founding philosophy of responding to changes in the medical environment even before Digital Healthcare became commercialized. It said dropping "Technology" from the existing name was meant to underscore its intention to shift from a technology-centered company to a patient-centered platform company.
The logo design will also change. The company said it is a move to strengthen its global brand image in line with the recent trend of expanding into the Middle East and U.S. markets.
Along with the brand renewal, it also unveiled a new slogan, "Connected Intelligence, Continuous Care." While the previous slogan ("We Make Medicine Smarter") focused on the digital transformation of the medical system, the new slogan reflects a full-cycle patient management platform strategy spanning diagnosis, hospitalization, and post-discharge care.
