Humedix, the aesthetics subsidiary of Huons Group, said on the 27th that it signed an exclusive domestic sales contract for the wound dressing "ARCHE."
Under the deal, Humedix will serve as ARCHE's exclusive distributor in Korea, handling distribution, marketing, and overall sales. The company plans to use this as a springboard to expand its nationwide distribution network and further strengthen its product supply and management systems.
ARCHE is a wound dressing made with plant-derived, low–molecular weight, water-soluble chitosan that is used on damaged skin barrier areas to help promote skin regeneration.
The main ingredient, low–molecular weight water-soluble chitosan (ISC), was developed in-house by Doum Co., Ltd. Clinical results confirmed antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory effects, as well as wound-healing potential and possible scalp-care applications. In particular, ISC has a high bioactivity due to its average low molecular weight of 500 daltons (Da), and it is characterized by the application of an enzymatic hydrolysis process rather than chemical hydrolysis.
