Private space launch corporations INNOSPACE said on the 19th that it signed a launch service distribution agreement with Commercial Space Technologies (CST), a space consulting and launch brokerage company headquartered in London.
CST, a launch service brokerage and project management specialist corporation founded in 1983, has carried out numerous launch projects in Europe. Under the agreement, CST will handle overall sales from finding potential customers in Europe to signing launch service contracts. INNOSPACE plans to use the recently secured Malbusca Launch Center in Portugal as a hub to meet European launch demand, and to push commercialization by combining CST's customer network and project management experience.
INNOSPACE has expanded its launch infrastructure based on overseas hubs such as the Alcântara Space Center in Brazil, the Whalers Way launch site in Australia, and the Koonibba Test Range. With this distribution agreement, the corporation aims to build in Europe the business flow that connects customer development, contracting, and launch execution, and to provide launch services tailored to the schedules, orbits, and mission conditions required by satellite customers.
Kim Su-jong, CEO of INNOSPACE, said, "As demand for small satellites in Europe expands rapidly, more customers are seeking flexibility in launch schedules and orbits, but options that can reliably provide launch services are still limited," adding, "With this distribution agreement with CST, we will strategically target the European small satellite launch market based on differentiated launch solutions, and provide customized, reliability-focused launch services that customers demand."
Alan Webb, CEO of CST, also said, "By combining CST's accumulated launch brokerage expertise with INNOSPACE's technological capabilities, we will provide the growing European small satellite market with a higher level of launch operations flexibility, schedule transparency, and a highly reliable mission management system."
