Samsung Medical Center said on Feb. 5 that NCT member Jisung of SM Entertainment donated 250 million won to the hospital for his birthday. The donation will be used to support pancreatic cancer research.
Jisung said, "I have felt heartbroken seeing patients struggling with diseases that are difficult to treat," and added, "Though it is a small contribution, I hope it will help medical technology research so that many people can live happy lives without pain." Jisung noted, "Thanks to the love and support from Czennie (the fandom nickname), I was able to join in sharing, and I want to help create a warmer world as a way to repay the love I received from fans."
Samsung Medical Center said, "We will work to advance research on intractable diseases, including precision medicine research in the field of pancreatic cancer."
