Mukbang creator Tzuyang (real name Park Jeong-won) said on the 27th that she donated 50 million won to the Asan Medical Center Children's Hospital development fund.
The donation began with a request from a 13-year-old subscriber who has been going through a hard time while repeating surgeries and treatments.
Through a comment on Tzuyang's video, the subscriber said, "Every time I have surgery and am in pain, I watch Tzuyang's videos to overcome it," and suggested, "Please join the Lucky Burger donation relay underway at McDonald's."
In response, Tzuyang took on a challenge to eat 10 McDonald's Lucky Burgers and, on that occasion, practiced a "big-hearted sharing" by donating 50 million won. The donation was made in the name of "13 million subscribers and Tzuyang," adding meaning as a donation made together with subscribers.
Tzuyang said, "Thanks to you, my subscribers, I was able to reach the meaningful number of 13 million, and I'm glad to practice sharing together with that meaning," and added, "I was deeply moved by the message from a young subscriber who said my videos bring comfort even in a difficult situation. I hope this donation will help sick children, even a little."
The donation will be delivered to the Asan Medical Center Children's Hospital development fund and will be used for various support programs for sick children, including support for studies interrupted by treatment.
