Roen Surgical said on the 13th it exported Zamenix, a robot that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to operate on kidney stones, to Indonesia. Indonesia, with a population of 286 million, has a growing medical market. The medical device approval process is also swift.
The hospital introducing the surgical robot is Mandaya Royal Hospital in Jakarta, Indonesia. Roen Surgical and Mandaya Royal Hospital also signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in clinical care, research and education. At Mandaya Royal Hospital, it will offer training programs for medical staff and provide technical support.
Roen Surgical aims to expand into Thailand, the United States and Europe. Kwon Dong-su, CEO of Roen Surgical, said, "We will provide safe and effective treatment for patients."
