Samsung Bioepis Holdings' subsidiaries Samsung Bioepis and Samsung Biologics will sponsor the training of Korea's delegation to the International Biology Olympiad (IBO).
Samsung Bioepis and Samsung Biologics said on the 8th that on the 7th they signed a sponsorship agreement for the International Biology Olympiad (IBO) at the Korea Science and Technology Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, together with the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science & Creativity (KOSAC) and the Korean Society of Biology Education.
The International Biology Olympiad is a competition that assesses theoretical and experimental abilities in life sciences; at last year's 36th event, 298 students from 77 countries took part, and Korea has sent a delegation every year since first participating in 1998, consistently achieving strong results.

By doing so, they plan to identify and nurture outstanding talent in life sciences at an early stage and actively carry out talent-centered corporate social responsibility activities for future national technological advancement.
Kim Kyung-ah, president of Samsung Bioepis, said, "Life sciences is a core field that leads humanity's health and future, and we will continue to support the scientific inquiry of future generations and take part in fostering talent that will lead the bio industry."
