JW Pharmaceutical said on the 1st that it newly appointed Ham Eun-kyung, JW Pharmaceutical's chief operating officer and CEO of JW Medical, as CEO of JW Pharmaceutical.
With this, JW Pharmaceutical will shift from a single-CEO system under CEO Shin Young-seop to a co-CEO system led by Shin and Ham.
CEO Ham Eun-kyung joined JW Pharmaceutical after graduating from Seoul National University's department of pharmaceutical sciences in 1986. She later served as head of corporate planning at JW Holdings, head of corporate planning at JW Life Science, CEO of JW Bioscience, CEO of JW Medical, and CEO of JW Life Science.
The company said the latest CEO appointment is aimed at strengthening expertise. The company said, "CEO Shin will focus on sales and marketing, while the new CEO Ham will concentrate on R&D and administrative work."
