On the eve of the fourth launch of the Korean launch vehicle Nuri (KSLV-II), the work to mount Nuri on the launchpad was completed. The Korea AeroSpace Administration and the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) said at 11:05 a.m. on the 26th that the launchpad installation of Nuri had been completed.
Around 9 a.m. on the 25th, Nuri left the launch vehicle assembly building at the Naro Space Center loaded onto an unmanned special transport vehicle, the "transporter." It arrived at the launchpad about an hour later, went through preparations to stand upright, and was fully secured to the pad around 1 p.m.
In the afternoon, procedures continued for various launch preparations, including umbilical ("umbilical cord") connection work for injecting fuel (kerosene) and oxidizer and checking launch vehicle signals. However, due to adverse weather such as a high wind advisory in effect on the 25th, the pneumatic/hydraulic umbilical connection and leak checks were carried out on the morning of the 26th.
At 7:30 p.m. today, the launch management committee plans to convene to comprehensively evaluate technical inspection results and weather conditions and finalize whether to launch and the time. Barring any unusual variables, Nuri is expected to launch around 1 a.m. on the 27th.
