Samsung Bioepis promoted six executives, including two executive vice presidents and four executive directors, through its 2026 personnel appointments.
First, Shin Dong-hun, an executive vice president and head of Development Unit 2, a physician and clinical medicine expert, made the promotion list. Based on experience in clinical design for biosimilars (biosimilar), medical review, and advisory work, Shin established clinical and approval strategies for new drugs.
Shin Ji-eun, executive vice president and Head of Team of the Process Technology (MSAT) Team in Development Unit 1, was also promoted. Recognized as a development expert with expertise in process development and technology transfer, Shin was credited with enhancing product competitiveness through production process optimization and the discovery of new partners.
In addition, four executive directors were promoted. Executive Director Son Sung-hun, head of the Legal Group, is an overseas attorney with expertise in intellectual property (IP) who swiftly supports patent filings and legal reviews and handled numerous global IP lawsuits, contributing to on-time product launches, while Executive Director An So-shin, head of the Clinical Development Group in the Clinical General Affairs (PE) Team, was assessed as a translational medicine expert who led the establishment of nonclinical new drug development procedures and clinical design.
Executive Director Lee Nam-hun, head of the Business Strategy Group in the Strategy Team, is a business planning expert with diverse experience in strategy development and supply chain management (SCM), and established strategies for transitioning to a holding company structure and promoting new bio businesses.
Executive Director Jeong Ui-han, head of RA Group 3 in the Regulatory Affairs (RA) Team, expanded the number of countries with marketing authorization to lay the groundwork for increased sales and was credited with contributing to shorter biosimilar development timelines and expense reductions.
