The homegrown launch vehicle Nuri is accelerating final preparations, wrapping up core assembly ahead of its fourth launch scheduled for 1 a.m. on the 27th.
The Korea AeroSpace Administration and the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) on the 20th released photos and video of the Nuri's final inspection site under way at the assembly building of the Naro Space Center in Goheung, South Jeolla.
According to the released materials, assembly of the first, second, and third stages of Nuri has all been completed, and researchers were seen meticulously checking the internal structure through inspection windows. After an electrical inspection test, the research team plans to continue procedures to closely examine the exterior and identify any structural anomalies according to a detailed checklist.
Launch preparations will also move into full swing. After completing the final inspection on the 24th, the vehicle will be mounted on a dedicated transport device called a "transporter" to move the Nuri integrated launch vehicle (ILV) to the launchpad. Once the ILV is transferred to the launchpad on the 25th, the operation phase for the actual launch will begin on the 26th.
