Chong Kun Dang Holdings said on the 12th that it received the cultural contribution award at the 2025 Mecenat Awards. The Mecenat Awards have honored domestic corporations that contribute to culture and the arts since 1999. The Korea Mecenat Association hosts the event, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism sponsors it.
Since 2011, Chong Kun Dang Holdings has visited university and pediatric wards to present classical and opera performances to patients and their families. Since 2012, it has selected three painters each year and supported their creative work for three years.
Choi Hee-nam, CEO of Chong Kun Dang Holdings, said, "Art consoles people and changes society," adding, "We will realize social value through the energy that art has."
