Seoul Bio Hub will recruit its second cohort of tenant corporations this year.
Seoul Bio Hub, created by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and jointly operated by the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) and Korea University, said on the 2nd it will select 35 startup corporations with strong technologies in red bio fields such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and digital healthcare.
Selection will proceed in two tracks by corporate growth stage: a scale-up (expansion) track for bio and medical corporations less than seven years since founding, and a startup track for those less than five years since founding.
For tenant corporations, it will provide not only workspace and shared equipment and laboratories, but also support for attracting investment and corporate publicity, bio startup–specialized training and benefits for corporations in the Seoul Hongneung Innopolis, and open innovation opportunities with major corporations at home and abroad.
A Seoul Bio Hub official said, "Seoul Bio Hub is creating an optimal innovation ecosystem where bio and medical startup corporations can grow, and through this second round of recruitment, we hope promising startup corporations—from the early startup stage to the growth stage preparing for global expansion—will come together to create collaboration and synergy."
Corporations wishing to move in can apply online by 6 p.m. on the 21st, and details related to recruitment can be found on the Seoul Bio Hub website.
