Dong-A Socio Holdings announced on the 5th that it will support 400,000 bottles of water to help residents of Gangneung who are suffering from prolonged drought.
Dong-A Socio Holdings will deliver 200,000 bottles of 500 mL and 200,000 bottles of 2L of water, branded as Masinda, Cheonnyeonsu, and Naneunmul, manufactured by its affiliates Dong-A Otsuka and Dong-A Ecopack, to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association. The association is expected to distribute them to Gangneung citizens who are struggling to secure drinking water and daily water supply.
Dong-A Socio Holdings Group is continuously engaging in social responsibility activities aimed at protecting public health and safety during disaster situations, based on its corporate philosophy of 'respect for life.'
Earlier in July, Dong-A Socio Holdings Group dispatched a volunteer pharmacy truck to areas affected by heavy rains, such as Sancheong County in Gyeongnam Province and Yesan County in Chungnam Province, and in March, it provided pharmaceuticals to areas affected by wildfires, such as Uiseong County in Gyeongsangbuk Province.
A representative of Dong-A Socio Holdings said, "I hope this support of bottled water will be of some help to the residents of Gangneung who are going through difficult times due to the drought," and noted, "We will fulfill our social responsibility by practicing sharing where help is needed."
