Dongguk University announced on the 4th that Professor Lee Kwang-geun of the Department of Food Life Science received the Fellow award from the Agricultural and Food Chemistry Division (AGFD) at the American Chemical Society's annual meeting held in Washington, D.C., from August 17 to 21.
This award, which has been awarded since 1988, recognizes scholars with outstanding achievements in the food chemistry institutional sector. It is awarded annually to 1 to 3 scholars, and this professor is the first pure Korean to win, excluding Korean American scholars.
The professor said, "I am happy to be recognized for the academic status of Korean food science by receiving the Fellow award from the American Chemical Society, the world's largest academic society."
