Cha Hospital announced on the 22nd that it submitted a letter of intent to participate in the private developer contest for the development project in Makkye-dong, Gwacheon. The plan is to establish a customized general hospital for 100,000 Gwacheon citizens covering an area of 40,000 pyeong (130,000 square meters).
Cha Hospital plans to provide medical services in 32 departments, including an emergency center, in Gwacheon. Until now, there has been no emergency medical facility in Gwacheon, and patients were transported to Gangnam in Seoul when emergencies occurred. Cha Hospital will assist in senior health management, treat severe diseases, and offer exercise prescriptions, food therapy (customized food prescriptions), and a medical spa. An artificial intelligence (AI) healthcare platform will be introduced.
Cha Hospital plans to transfer Gangnam Cha Hospital to Gwacheon. The hospital has operated facilities in 96 countries, including the United States, Japan, and Australia. It aims to introduce foreign medical systems to Gwacheon.
Yoon Do-heum, the president of Cha Hospital, noted that it will address the accessibility issues of medical services that Gwacheon citizens have consistently raised, stating, "The goal is to be a hospital that people can visit comfortably, whether they are experiencing mild or severe conditions."
