A public servant at the Radio Research Agency under the Ministry of Science and ICT has been accused of having a private company pay for a dinner gathering, prompting authorities to launch an investigation.
On the 17th, Yonhap News reported that a public servant at the Radio Testing and Certification Center, located in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, which is an institution under the Radio Research Agency, has been accused of having private companies, which were the subjects of certification, pay for dinner expenses on three occasions in May and posting meal scenes on social media (SNS).
The Radio Research Agency has begun an investigation to determine whether the allegations are true and stated that if the payment of dinner expenses is confirmed, strict measures will be taken in accordance with regulations. The agency noted, "We are verifying the facts as related content has been posted on SNS, and we will respond according to principles based on the investigation results."
