The Korea Organ Donation Agency (KODA) announced on the 12th that 36 Myanmar students have applied for the hope of registering as organ donors. Registering as an organ donor is a promise to donate one's organs or body tissues in the event of brain death or death from cardiac arrest.
The Korean Myanmar Students Association recently participated in a life-sharing campaign conducted by the Korea Organ Donation Agency (KODA) at Songnae Station in Bucheon. Forty-one Myanmar students donated blood as a group. Jin Ming-paiing said, "I want to do good things for Korea."
Lee Sam-yeol, head of the Korea Organ Donation Agency (KODA), noted, "Though the country and culture may be different, the value of life is the same," and expressed gratitude to those who showed warm generosity while studying in a foreign land.
