A person in their 50s who fell into a coma saved another's life through organ donation and passed away.
The Korea Organ Donation Agency (KODA) announced on the 4th that Kim So-hyang (51) passed away after donating her liver at Inha University Hospital on June 30. Prior to this, Kim collapsed in her home's bathroom and was transported to the hospital but did not regain consciousness.
Born in Dangjin, South Chungcheong Province, Kim studied psychology while studying abroad in Australia. After getting married and raising children, she taught psychological counseling at middle and high schools. She enjoyed traveling with her family. She was someone who could help others and stand up against injustice.
Kim's son left this letter through the donation agency: "I believe that being born as my mother's son is my greatest fortune. Every moment we spent together was happy and I am grateful. I love you."
