A man in his 40s saved four lives through organ donation and passed away.
The Korea Organ Donation Agency (KODA) reported on the 28th that Jang Sang-bin (44) passed away after donating his liver, both kidneys, and right eye to four recipients at Gyeongsang National University Hospital (GNUH) on the 6th of last month. He also donated human tissues such as skin, bones, cartilage, and blood vessels. Jang was transported to the hospital after falling from a height of 5 meters while inspecting factory facilities on the 3rd of last month, but he did not regain consciousness and was declared brain dead.
Jang was born as the second of three children, two sons and one daughter, in Sacheon, South Gyeongsang Province. He enjoyed going camping with his children on his days off. He worked diligently for over 15 years at a security company and proactively took the lead in helping those in need.
Jang's wife left this letter through the donation agency: "I can't believe I won't see my husband again. I wish he would come back even now. Please don't worry about the kids and rest comfortably in heaven. Thank you. I love you."
