The National Research Council of Science & Technology (NST) announced that it held a meeting with directors general of the global TOP strategic research group selected for 2025. The Korea Polar Research Institute (KOPRI) announced that it will host the 30th International Symposium on Polar Science (ISPS 2025) from the 16th to the 18th in Songdo, Incheon. ISPS 2025 is an international academic conference that started in 1988 aimed at sharing the latest research results in the field of polar science and strengthening collaboration among domestic and international researchers. Various topics related to polar atmospheric science, including meteorological observation systems, numerical modeling, and climate change analysis in the Antarctic region, will be presented and discussed during this event. About 130 researchers in Antarctic climate from the United States, Italy, Japan, and other countries will participate in this symposium.
The Korea AeroSpace Administration announced that it held a strategic meeting with the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) to explore future research and development directions. This meeting was organized to discuss specific execution plans for strengthening national capabilities in space science, such as next-generation space exploration and the integration of big data and AI in astronomy and space science, to lead the upcoming deep space era.
