Dongkook Pharmaceutical's skincare brand Madeca21 has launched the 'TECA Soothing' wash-off pack, pads, ampoules, and cream. These products contain TECA, a component independently developed by Dongkook Pharmaceutical, which helps soothe skin and manage blemish marks.
Dongkook Pharmaceutical utilized the core ingredient of the wound treatment ointment 'Madecassol,' which is made from centella asiatica extract (TECA), to release the skincare product Madeca Cream in 2015, turning it into a bestseller. Based on the success of Madeca Cream, the company introduced the low-irritation skincare brand Madeca21 in 2018.
The wash-off pack contains fresh centella asiatica and mint ingredients. It adheres to the skin with a refreshing jelly texture. After one use, skin temperature drops by 3 degrees Celsius. It also soothes the skin's heat with its hydrating properties.
The pads are made with a jelly-like gel that adheres tightly to the skin. They soothe the skin in just three seconds. They contain triple hyaluronic acid. The company noted that using them before makeup results in smoother and more hydrated skin.
The ampoule is designed to manage uneven skin. The company stated that the effectiveness of improving blemish marks was confirmed in clinical trials after three days of use. It absorbs into the skin without stickiness. The cream helps rough and dry skin.
Dongkook Pharmaceutical has completed skin irritation testing on all products, stating that even those with sensitive skin can use them daily. The products are available for purchase at convenience store GS25. A representative from Dongkook Pharmaceutical Madeca21 noted, 'We have expanded consumer touchpoints through convenience store sales.'
