■ The Korean Aerospace Industries Association announced it held the 13th Aerospace Leaders Breakfast Forum on the 25th at the Seoul Club Hall of the Korea Press Center. During the forum, Kim Won-jong, CEO of DN Solutions, delivered a special lecture on the theme of 'Strengthening manufacturing competitiveness in the aerospace industry through the advancement of processing technology.' The forum was attended by representatives and executives from corporations in the aerospace sector, along with over 80 industry stakeholders. Kim emphasized the importance of accurately understanding the latest manufacturing technology trends and possessing the technical capabilities that align with them.
■ The National Central Science Museum announced that the regional competitions of the 46th National Student Science Invention Contest have concluded, with 301 participants advancing to the national competition. This year's competition saw a total of 11,365 participants nationwide, with 158 elementary school students, 79 middle school students, and 64 high school students selected. The winners of the national competition will be announced on Aug. 28 via the National Central Science Museum's website. The two best works will receive the Presidential Award and the Prime Minister's Award.
■ The Korean Women's Association of Science and Technology (KWAST) and the National Union for Realizing the Science and Technology Society (National Union) jointly announced they will hold the 31st Science Communication Forum titled 'Becoming the Master of Artificial Intelligence Projects' on the afternoon of the 26th at the conference hall of the Korea Science and Technology Center. The forum will feature presentations by Kim Seung-il, CEO of the Institute of All Research, Kwon Oh-seong, Executive of Microsoft Korea, Kwak Gi-ho, Director of the Agency for Defense Development's Defense AI Technology Research Institute, Jeong Myeong-ae, President of the Korea Medical Data Association, and Yoon Kyung-a, head of the KT Agentic AI Lab.
■ The National Research Council of Science & Technology (NST) announced it will hold the '2025 Grant Research Institute-Corporations Tech Biz Partnering' integrated technology exchange meeting between government-funded research institutes and corporations on the 26th and 27th at COEX. This event aims to facilitate the use of outstanding research results from government-funded research institutes in industry through one-on-one consultations, product exhibitions and experiences, pitch stages, and conferences.
