Minister You Sang-im said on the afternoon of the 18th that he held a meeting with representatives of young startups in the field of new technology at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Promotion in Gangseo District, Seoul. The startup representatives who attended the meeting shared their entrepreneurial experiences and proposed policies needed in the technology-based startup process. The Ministry of Science and ICT plans to reflect the opinions expressed on the measures to activate technology commercialization across ministries.
The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) announced on the 18th that it held a signing ceremony for the donation of artwork by Professor Emeritus Park Kwang-jin of Seoul National University at the main KAIST Art Museum in Daejeon. Professor Park is known for his work "Sound of Nature" and is said to encapsulate the essence of Korean academic painting through works depicting natural landscapes. In December 2014, Professor Park held an exhibition of two of his works at the KAIST Art Museum, which opened in December 2014, and this time he decided to donate 102 selected works to KAIST.
