The Korea Aerospace Administration formed a delegation to assist domestic space corporations in expanding overseas and visited Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The space agency announced on the 12th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Saudi Space Commission on the 11th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to establish a Korea-Saudi framework for cooperation in the space sector. The two organizations agreed to collaborate in various areas, including deep space technology and communications, human spaceflight programs, satellite launches, satellite payloads, and enhancing capabilities in space science and engineering.

A space cooperation seminar was also held at the Saudi Space Commission headquarters with participation from our corporations and local companies. In South Korea, participants included Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), Hanwha Systems, INNOSPACE, Hanwha Aerospace, Satrec Initiative, Telefix, CONTEC, Hancom InSpace, Contec Space Optics (CSO), Cosmos BV, and the Autonomous Exploration Laboratory.

Administrator Yoon Young-bin, who led the delegation, noted that "Korea's cooperation with Saudi Arabia in space will contribute to the industrial development of both countries in the short term and become an important cooperation model for jointly pioneering the future of the global space industry in the long term," adding that, "To support the overseas expansion of Korean space corporations, we will continue to expand the Korea Aerospace Administration's international cooperation activities."
