Boryung's subsidiary, Boryung Consumer Healthcare, introduced six types of the customized moist dressing brand 'Liquidem,' which can manage everything from light wounds with a lot of movement to burns and deep wounds, on the 20th.
The six types of Liquidem include △Liquidem EX (for light wounds with a lot of movement), △Liquidem band mixed type and single type (for small wounds such as those on fingers), △Liquidem foam (for deep wounds that ooze), △Liquidem burn (for burns and deep wounds), and △Liquidem carespot (for facial wounds and trouble areas). Appropriate products should be used according to the type and area of the wound.
Mok Jin-hak, a manager at Boryung Consumer Healthcare in charge of the Liquidem brand, noted, "In winter, it's common to get hurt by slipping while putting hands in pockets or developing wounds due to dry skin, and there is also a high risk of burns from heating devices, but various wounds can be managed with Liquidem."
According to the company, products containing hydrocolloid components have completed ultraviolet protection and skin irritation tests, minimizing pigmentation due to strong summer UV rays as well as irritation to the wound area.
For products used in areas with a lot of movement, a 'skin wrinkle method' was applied to enhance adhesion. Products for areas that frequently come into contact with water, such as fingers, were treated to be waterproof, allowing for washing and showering. The 'beveling method,' which processes the edges to be thin, was applied, enabling makeup to be done even after attachment.
The carespot, which is attached to the face, uses a so-called 'finger pick' that allows the patch to be attached without touching the hands. This method involves slightly bending the film over the area where the patch will be applied, holding the finger pick, and removing the patch, making it more hygienic and convenient to use.
Among the six types of Liquidem, the foam and burn products contain 'sodium alginate' that promotes hemostatic response, while the EX and band contain 'Centella extract' that shortens wound recovery time, creating an optimal moist environment and aiding in rapid wound healing.
