Mun Hee-seok, the representative of Takeda Korea, will retire.

Takeda Korea announced on the 20th that Mun will step down from management at the end of this month.

Mun graduated from Chung-Ang University College of Pharmacy and received a master's degree in business administration from Sogang University. He has spent 35 years in the pharmaceutical industry, working in sales and marketing at the Korean branches of multinational pharmaceutical companies, including Janssen Korea, BMS Korea, and Bayer Korea. He was appointed as the head of Shire's Korean entity in 2014, and after Takeda acquired Shire, he took over as the representative of Takeda Korea in 2019.

Takeda Korea focused on restructuring its business around 'specialty' treatments for rare cancers under Mun's leadership.

Mun noted, “It was thanks to the dedication and passion of employees that I could achieve positive results through various challenges while leading Takeda Korea. I hope Takeda will provide better treatment options for patients and continue to lead in innovation amid a changing global environment.”
