The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency urged students who have not completed mandatory vaccinations to receive their vaccinations.
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency noted on the 12th that it supports the expenses for necessary vaccinations to prevent infectious diseases for students.
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency is supporting vaccinations for elementary and middle school entrants through its vaccination support program, providing four types of mandatory vaccinations for elementary school students and three types for middle school students. The items for mandatory vaccinations can be checked on the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency's vaccination helper website.
Through the vaccination confirmation project for elementary and middle school students promoted by the Ministry of Education since 2001, it is possible to check which vaccines have been administered, making it easy to find any vaccines that have not yet been taken. If there are vaccines that have not yet been administered, they can receive vaccinations for free at health centers. If the items for vaccinations received are not registered, they can request registration at the health center.
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency plans to inform elementary and middle school entrants who have not yet completed their vaccinations in mid-month.
Jeong Yeong-mi, head of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, thanked "parents who actively participate in the national vaccination program" and urged, "If you have not yet completed your vaccinations, please visit the nearest health center and consult with medical staff before completing your vaccinations."
Deputy Prime Minister Lee Joo-ho (Minister of Education) said, "I hope you complete your mandatory vaccinations for safety before meeting new friends."
