■Boehringer Ingelheim Korea has been selected as a Top Employer by the Top Employers Institute. Boehringer Ingelheim Korea secured the third place among domestic corporations for excellent employment for the year, following last year's achievement. Boehringer Ingelheim's headquarters has been recognized as a global Top Employer for five consecutive years and has been certified as one of the 17 global top employers this year. ■At the 15th 'Yoo Il-han Award' ceremony honoring the late Yoo Il-han, founder of Yuhan Corporation, prizes including cash, plaques, and gold medals were awarded to Kim Seok-tae and Eom Gye-suk, who gave birth to 13 children, and to Kim Sang-hoon and Yun Jeong-hee, who adopted 11 children. ■Novonordisk Korea announced on the 16th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Bundang Seoul National University Hospital. This partnership aims to explore advanced future medical developments such as digitalization in their key areas of diabetes, obesity, hemophilia, and growth hormones, as well as to ensure high-quality clinical trials. Through this agreement, they will actively cooperate to expand opportunities for participation of chronic disease patients in Korea in global clinical trial stages and enable Korean researchers to play a more pivotal role in clinical research, integrating cutting-edge technology necessary for innovative drug development.
■HLB Group donated funds to the Seoul branch of the Korean Red Cross to support victims and their families affected by the Jeju Air passenger plane accident. The donated funds will be used for rapid recovery efforts at the disaster site and psychological treatment for the bereaved families. This donation was made through the voluntary participation of HLB Group employees. A company official said, "We pray for the souls of those who sadly lost their lives in this accident," and added, "We hope that this donation, gathered from the small hearts of our employees, will provide some comfort to the bereaved families."
■Hanmig Chemical announced on the 15th that it has signed a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) agreement with WOOJUNG BIO to support the growth of bio venture corporations. Hanmig Chemical will comprehensively support the research and development of over 20 bio venture corporations located in WOOJUNG BIO's new drug cluster, from R&D to commercialization, and will assist in the development of innovative pharmaceuticals. The two companies plan to jointly hold seminars and customized CDMO consultation sessions for bio venture corporations in the future, establishing a sustainable cooperation model to contribute to the development of the domestic bio industry.
