Ahead of Chuseok, SSG.com will hold a discount event on grocery items and holiday gift sets for membership members.
SSG.com said on the 10th it will run "ssg7 Club Week" through the 16th, offering 200 top special-price items including groceries and Chuseok gift sets.
There are about 150 grocery items. It will discount premium Korean beef, known as hanwoo sirloin steak and grade-1 brisket slices by up to 30%, and offer a buy-one-get-one deal on Gourmet Crispy Nuggets (450g). Baeksul Olive Oil (900ml) will be 50% off when buying two or more. Household goods such as facial tissues and kitchen towels will also be sold as buy one, get one.
About 50 Chuseok gift sets are prepared. A representative item, a premium Korean beef, known as hanwoo sirloin butchery set (1.5kg), will be 30% off. The "Kanu Gift Set No. 8" is 15% off when paid with a promotional card.
For ssg7 Club members, it will offer the "Triple 7" benefits. It will credit 7% of the payment amount for ssg delivery items and issue two 7% shopping cart discount coupons. Paying 70,000 won or more with a promotional card also earns a 7% statement discount.
New members can purchase one of the popular grocery items for 700 won. It will also provide a free-shipping coupon usable on purchases of 20,000 won or more. Inviting a friend will trigger an event that gives 5,000 won in SSG Money to both the referrer and the new member.
