It may look ordinary at first glance, but as the "quiet luxury" trend—recognized by those in the know—moves into living spaces, "minimal kitchens" that emphasize premium materials and refinement over flashy ornamentation are drawing attention.
Hanssem(009240) said on the 10th that it unveiled new "Euro Kitchen" products, "Euro 500 Zen" and "Euro 300 Brush." The new Euro Kitchen lineup hides appliances and tableware inside cabinets and applies new materials with natural textures to create a tidy kitchen space.
These products are designed to fit small appliances such as rice cookers, ovens and coffee makers entirely inside cabinets. By introducing a "pocket cabinet," whose doors slide inward, the interior stays concealed most of the time but can be used as a home café or home bar when needed. The "folding cabinet" uses large-capacity storage to organize appliances of various sizes in one place, while the "mini pocket cabinet" keeps small appliances out of sight to create a neat kitchen.
The "modular island" placed in the center of the kitchen supports 60 module combinations, including full-width drawer fronts, open storage and a floating design with under-cabinet lighting. A "Jolly Cut" technique was applied to bevel and interlock the countertop and the side panel to minimize the seam, achieving a clean design.
"Euro 500 Zen" highlights materiality with "engineered veneer" made from natural wood. Released in two colors, hazelnut and espresso, this material preserves the pattern and texture of natural veneer while addressing drawbacks such as warping and discoloration. "Euro 300 Brush" applies a "special synchronization technique" that aligns the wood-grain pattern with the surface embossing. It comes in four colors—amber oak, beige oak, oat cream and Earl Grey—allowing for a variety of spatial expressions.
Hanssem also conducted quality verification to confirm product durability and user safety. It uses E0-grade or higher wood as standard, and at its in-house lab, which holds KOLAS accreditation, it conducted more than 40,000 door open-close cycles, a 227-kg load for 4 minutes and a 24-hour contamination test.
A Hanssem official said, "These new Euro Kitchen products tidy up the kitchen's complex daily-life elements while allowing users to express their own tastes through materials and design," adding, "We will continue to introduce kitchen solutions that reflect diverse lifestyles, based on our kitchen design expertise and technology."
