BBQ said on the 9th that from January to August this year it donated about 17,000 chickens to welfare facilities and communities nationwide.
BBQ is continuing its sharing activities through programs such as "Chicken University Good Donation," "Chicken Relay with Family," which it carries out with franchise owners, and "Visiting Chicken Relay," in which it visits sites in need.
The flagship social contribution program, Chicken University Good Donation, operates by having franchise owners and employees deliver products they cook themselves during the Chicken University training course to local communities. This is its 27th year.
In August, together with the Korean Red Cross Gyeonggi Chapter, it delivered chicken to older adults living alone in Gyeonggi, child welfare facilities, and residential facilities for people with severe disabilities. BBQ Chicken University was recognized for its steady community sharing activities and in March was inducted into the Korean Red Cross Gyeonggi Chapter "Hall of Fame."
It also moved to support national team athletes. BBQ visited the Jincheon National Training Center in North Chungcheong Province, held a "Visiting Chicken Relay," and provided 500 servings of chicken to national team athletes and officials in training.
Along with this, it is also running social contribution programs linked with franchises, such as "Chicken Relay with Family," in which headquarters and Family (franchise owners) participate together in sharing activities in each region.
A BBQ official said, "In August as well, through sharing by Family and employees together, we were able to deliver warm hearts throughout the community," adding, "We will continue to carefully look after neighbors in need and carry on BBQ's unique and diverse social contribution activities."
