Amorepacific(090430) Group marks its 81st anniversary and is accelerating its push into global markets.
Seo Kyung-bae, chairman of Amorepacific Group, at an 81st anniversary ceremony held at the Yongsan-gu headquarters in Seoul on Oct. 4, emphasized the will to grow globally by realizing the "New Beauty" vision, saying, "Let's build a company that presents a new standard of beauty to customers around the world."
Seo said, "The driving forces behind Amorepacific over the past 81 years have been customer-centricity and a pioneering spirit," adding, "Reading customer changes ahead of others and pioneering new territories to create a beauty culture that did not exist before is the path of New Beauty we pursue."
Seo noted, "Distribution has been reshaped around digital and platforms, and as interest in K-culture has risen, competition has intensified and the pace of change has quickened," adding, "Let's swiftly execute tasks suited to the times and lead new products, routines and cultures that will change customers' daily lives."
Amorepacific Group marked its 80th anniversary last year by declaring the "Create New Beauty" vision and setting out five strategic tasks: ▲ a focus on nurturing core global markets ▲ strengthening integrated beauty solutions ▲ anti-aging development based on bio technology ▲ agile organizational innovation ▲ and AI-based work transformation.
This year, it is focusing on expanding global markets, broadening beauty business areas, and innovating work methods. It is widening its skincare-centered business scope to hair care and overall wellness, and strengthening product development using bio technology. Across operations, it plans to expand AI use to boost execution speed and productivity.
Seo said, "We must read customer changes before anyone else, execute quickly, and see things through with tenacity," adding, "With the customer-centricity and pioneering spirit carried on for 81 years, let's create our own New Beauty and move toward the world."
Amorepacific Group was founded in Sep. 1945. It aims to reach 15 trillion won in sales by 2035 and grow into a global beauty and wellness company.
