Nongshim(004370) Oner family third-generation Executive Vice President Shin Sang-yeol is marrying an office worker employed at SK Telecom(017670).
On the 4th, the food industry said Shin will hold a wedding ceremony on the 13th with a rank-and-file female employee working at SK Telecom.
Ahead of the wedding, the two were said to have taken wedding photos holding Nongshim's flagship product, "Shin Ramyun."
Shin is the grandson of the late founder Chairman Shin Chun-ho and the eldest son of Nongshim Chairman Shin Dong-won.
Born in 1993, Shin worked at Nongshim as an intern for about two years starting in 2015. After graduating from Columbia University in the United States with a degree in industrial engineering, Shin joined Nongshim's Corporate Planning Office in 2019 and began full-fledged management training.
Shin was promoted to assistant manager in 2020 and to Director General in 2021, and in November of the same year rose to executive director in charge of procurement. Shin then served as executive director of the Future Business Office, becoming Nongshim's first executive in their 20s, and handled the company's mid- to long-term growth strategy and new business development.
Shin was promoted to senior executive managing director in Nov. 2024 and, in Jan. this year, became executive vice president, widening the management footprint as a third-generation Oner family manager at Nongshim.
