Korea Amway said on the 1st it will launch two new products under a "gapless gut solution" that reflects Koreans' lifestyles and microbiome data: "Nutrilite Begin" and "Nutrilite Probiotics."
The new products consist of Nutrilite Begin, which helps create a healthy gut environment, and Nutrilite Probiotics, which contains two exclusive strains based on Korean microbiome data. Korea Amway said the new products are designed to support both gut environment formation and probiotic supplementation.
Korea Amway cited as the background for product development the recent shift in gut health research from merely supplementing beneficial bacteria to managing the gut barrier and the overall gut environment. It said the domestic probiotics market is growing as interest in healthy life expectancy rises with the entry into a super-aged society. Research findings on the gut microbiome from Amway Global R&D (research and development) were used in product development.
Korea Amway said research using a gastrointestinal model (PMAS) and human intestinal organoids (3D mini organs) found that when the two products are taken together, production of butyric acid—a short-chain fatty acid related to gut health—increases compared with taking either product alone. Two related research papers were published in international journals, and the findings were recently presented as a key case at the "2026 Korean Society of Food Science and Technology International Conference."
