Lotte Chilsung Beverage said on the 28th that it has built an AI agent that uses Generative AI to support finding new global buyers and is applying it in actual sales operations.
The AI agent built by Lotte Chilsung Beverage researches the market conditions and regulations of those surveyed countries and finds and organizes information on potential counterparties and their contacts. The AI agent cross-checks information secured from multiple sources, compiles the research results into a report, and helps identify lists of potential counterparties and their contact information.
In the past, when reviewing markets in countries newly entering, staff researched related regulations and laws and directly checked information on potential counterparties and their contacts through various websites and materials. The process of entering and organizing the secured information into management formats was also done manually by staff.
After introducing the AI agent, staff make final reviews of the AI's findings and use them to discover counterparties and carry out sales activities. As the time required for repetitive searches and organizing materials has decreased, they have been able to focus more on core sales tasks such as contacting buyers and negotiating transactions.
Lotte Chilsung Beverage said it has reduced the time required for buyer discovery tasks, which previously took more than 50 hours, to about three hours.
A Lotte Chilsung Beverage official said, "We did not stop at simply using Generative AI, but implemented the processes needed for real work as an AI agent and applied it to frontline operations," adding, "We plan to expand the scope of AI use to sending sales emails tailored to each buyer and history management, and to apply it not only to global sales but also to various tasks such as discovering domestic counterparties and suppliers."
