Musinsa said on the 23rd that it signed an official sponsorship deal with Idea Paragon, which hosts and organizes the Asia top-tier mixed martial arts (MMA) event "BLACKCOMBAT."
At the BLACKCOMBAT media day held that day, Musinsa Chief Commerce Officer Choi Jae-young (CCO) and Idea Paragon CEO Park Pyeong-hwa attended an official signing ceremony and concluded a partnership for future mutual cooperation.
Musinsa said the sponsorship aims to raise mainstream recognition of mixed martial arts and more widely promote a dynamic fight culture grounded in sportsmanship. The decision was based on the view that the energy of combat sports and its distinctive fandom culture align with the brand identity and execution values Musinsa Sports pursues.
Musinsa plans to use this partnership as a springboard to further professionalize its sports category and expand its influence across the target market.
The collaboration is designed as a multidimensional model that goes beyond simple brand exposure to include ticket sales for fight events, collaboration product planning centered on brands available on Musinsa, and even special uniform production. Musinsa and 29CM will directly sell BLACKCOMBAT event tickets to improve fans' access and convenience for reservations.
They will also sequentially unveil collaborative collections linking BLACKCOMBAT's IP (intellectual property) with fashion and sports brands available on Musinsa and 29CM.
A Musinsa official said, "This sponsorship will serve as a catalyst for fashion and combat sports fandoms to meet and create new cultural synergy," adding, "Through a multifaceted partnership ranging from ticket tie-ins to differentiated product planning, we will significantly broaden the ways fans experience the events."
