APR(278470) said on the 19th that first-half European sales this year were 228.9 billion won, up 363% from a year earlier. Europe accounted for about 17% of total first-half sales.
Robust online and offline sales led to higher European revenue. APR opened an official storefront on Amazon in major European countries such as the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Spain late last year.
As of June this year, sales by country rose more than eightfold on average compared with January. In particular, in June, driven by Amazon's "Prime Day" discount event, Amazon Europe logged its highest monthly sales ever.
APR, which entered the European offline market early last year, steadily expanded its sales channels. In March, it launched in global beauty retailer Sephora.
In the first half of this year, cumulative European offline sales increased more than ninefold from a year earlier. The lineup of products on sale is also expanding. During the same period, the number of stock keeping units (SKU) operated in Europe increased more than fivefold.
Reflecting this growth trend, APR set its full-year European sales target for this year at 500 billion won. It plans to expand the countries selling on Amazon within Europe and pursue entry into new offline channels.
An APR official said, "We confirmed strong consumer demand for Medicube in the European market," and added, "We will continue to enhance competitiveness with a diverse portfolio and a channel mix strategy."
